Supporting Student Success

UC Merced provides a wide range of support programs and services to support student success and wellbeing. Below are links to resources and programs on campus that may be helpful. Additional resources not listed below can be found here.

Students of Concern

The Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students works with the Student Response Team to address issues related to address academic, physical, psychological, and safety risk indicators experienced by students. The Student Response Team's goal is to intervene before the student reaches a crisis level.

Basic Needs

The Basic Needs team connects members of the campus community with resources that can assist with food security, housing, and other basic needs.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports the mental health and well-being of UC Merced students. It is the intention of all CAPS staff to provide a safe, confidential atmosphere of acceptance and accessibility to professionals in the field of psychology.

Campus Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE)

Campus Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE) provides prevention education for the UC Merced community to achieve an environment free from the threat of sexual violence, dating/domestic violence and stalking. Please visit the CARE Office's website for more information.
