Students have the opportunity to receive credit for assisting faculty with their research. They receive course credit by completing an Independent Study Form, which requires review and processing from SSHA before they can enroll. Effective Spring 2017, only SSHA Senate faculty are able to lead Independent Study courses.
Requests for Independent Study Enrollment will not be accepted until the first day of continuing student registration. Students must submit their completed Independent Study Enrollment Forms through the electronic form found on the Office of the Registrar's site. Paper or PDF Independent Study forms will not be accepted for SSHA courses. If approved, students will receive an email notification with the CRN and instructions on completing registration for the course.
